Most of the enrichments are crafted on the jobsite using layers of drywall of different thicknesses. The enrichments are then are coated with different joint compounds to give the desired appearances and then textured. Sometimes a project has required the use of EIFS base coats and finishes, which are applied over layers of drywall to create a one of a kind effect.
Each new project presents its own set of challenges; often new tools and techniques are developed to complete the job. Staying current with new technology in not only the drywall industry but also other construction trades is essential to be able to draw from a wide range of ideas. Research into trade practices of bygone days has also proven to be a valuable asset.
